Temporin-SHa
Description
Temporin-SHa is an antimicrobial peptide with broad biological activities. Temporin-SHa is effective against Gram-positive bacteria (such as Listeria, MIC = 6.25 ??M), Gram-negative bacteria (such as E. coli, MIC = 10 ??M), and drug-resistant strains (such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). Temporin-SHa also has inhibitory effects against Candida albicans (MIC = 25 ??M), Saccharomyces cerevisiae (MIC = 12 ??M), Leishmania promastigotes and amastigotes (IC50 = 9-20 ??M), and trypanosomes (IC50 = 17 ??M). Temporin-SHa has antiviral activity against HSV-1 and anticancer effects (cytotoxicity against breast cancer MCF-7 cells and lung cancer H460 cells, etc.).
