SMAP-18
Description
SMAP-18 is a biologically active peptide (SMAP-18 is an 18-amino-acid-residue peptide amide and a truncated form of SMAP-29. Sheep myeloid antimicrobial peptide-29 (SMAP-29) has extremely high antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas strains, other Gram-negative bacteria, and multidrug-resistant pathogens. Compared with the parent SMAP-29, SMAP-18 shows higher cell selectivity because it has reduced hemolytic activity while retaining antibacterial activity).
