Alloferon 1
Description
Alloferon 1 is an antiviral and anti-tumor peptide. Alloferon 1 stimulates the natural cytotoxicity of human peripheral blood lymphocytes. Alloferon 1 also induces IFN synthesis and enhances antiviral and anti-tumor resistance in mice. Alloferon 1 also shows anti-inflammatory activity in a ??-carrageenan-induced paw edema model. Alloferon 1 can be isolated from the hemolymph of Calliphora vicina (Diptera).
