RL-37
Description
RL-37 is an ??-helical antimicrobial peptide. RL-37 can be isolated from rhesus macaque bone marrow. RL-37 rapidly permeabilizes the cell membrane of E. coli ML-35p and lyses liposomes. RL-37 has potent antibacterial activity against staphylococci (such as wild-type and methicillin-resistant S. aureus strains as well as S. epidermidis ATCC 49741). RL-37 can be used in research on human skin infections.
