Colistin B sulfate
Description
Colistin B (Polymyxin E2) sulfate is a major component of colistin (HY-113678) and is also an antibacterial agent active against multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria. Colistin B sulfate has an apoptotic effect on human renal proximal tubule cells. Colistin B sulfate can induce mild to moderate renal histological damage in mouse models. Colistin B sulfate can be used in research on multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacterial infections.
