BING
Description
BING is an antimicrobial peptide that can be isolated from the Japanese medaka fish. BING has broad-spectrum toxicity against pathogenic bacteria, including drug-resistant strains. BING induces dysregulation of the periplasmic peptidyl-prolyl isomerase in Gram-negative bacteria and reduces the RNA level of cpxR, which plays a crucial role in the development of antibiotic resistance.
