Tilapia piscidin 3
Description
Tilapia piscidin 3 is an antimicrobial peptide with antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (with MICs of 2.44, 2.44, 9.78, 19.55, and 0.61 ??g/mL against V. vulnificus 204, V. alginolyticus, S. agalactiae 819, E. faecalis BCRC 10066, and S. agalactiae BCRC 10787, respectively). Tilapia piscidin 3 has hemolytic activity against fish erythrocytes.
