RW3
Description
RW3 (MP196) is a small cationic antimicrobial hexapeptide. RW3 targets the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane and inhibits cell respiration and cell wall synthesis. RW3 exhibits high biological activity against Gram-positive bacteria (e.g., Bacillus subtilis 168, MIC 2 ??g/mL). RW3 causes contraction of mouse erythrocytes. RW3 can be used in research on antimicrobial and antifungal activities.
