Description
Human ??-Defensin 6 is a cysteine-rich peptide containing 32 residues that inhibits bacterial invasion and contributes to mucosal immunity. Human ??-Defensin 6 forms ordered self-assembled fibrils and nanonets that surround and entangle bacteria after random binding to bacterial surface proteins. Human ??-Defensin 6 also inhibits Candida albicans biofilm formation.
