Delta-hemolysin
Description
Delta-hemolysin (Delta-lysin) is a 26-amino-acid peptide and a hemolytic peptide produced by staphylococci. Delta-hemolysin may slightly interfere with cell membranes or cause cell lysis. Delta-hemolysin is a model for studying peptide-membrane interactions. Delta-hemolysin has weak activity against bacteria.
