Defensin HNP 4 (HNP 4) is a host defense peptide with antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria. Defensin HNP 4 inhibits ACTH-stimulated corticosterone (HY-B1618) synthesis in rat adrenal cell suspensions.
