Clavanin A
Description
Clavanin A is a peptide antibiotic and membrane permeabilizer. Clavanin A permeabilizes cytoplasmic membranes and monolayer lipid bilayers and dissipates membrane potential. Clavanin A can insert into phospholipid monolayers through hydrophobic interactions at physiologically relevant surface pressures. Clavanin A has antibacterial activity against Micrococcus flavus. Clavanin A can be used in research related to Micrococcus flavus infections.
