Description
Bac7 (1-35) is a cell-penetrating peptide with bactericidal activity. Bac7 (1-35) binds the prokaryotic ribosome and the 50S ribosomal subunit to inhibit protein synthesis, enters bacterial cells through the SbmA/BacA transporters, and acts within bacterial cells. Bac7 (1-35) possesses endotoxin neutralization, biofilm disruption, and anti-dissemination activities. Bac7 (1-35) can be used in research on multidrug-resistant cystic fibrosis-associated Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections, salmonellosis, and Klebsiella pneumoniae infections.
