Aurein 3.1 is an antibiotic antimicrobial peptide. Aurein 3.1 has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria (MICs of 80, 50, 50, 50, and 50 ??M against M. luteus, S. aureus, S. epidermis, S. mutans, and B. subtilis, respectively).
