Description
Antimicrobialpeptide 6b is a cationic macrocyclic antimicrobial peptide. Antimicrobialpeptide 6b has broad-spectrum antibacterial and antifungal activity, with MICs of 1.5-6.2 ??g/mL against drug-resistant Gram-positive bacteria, 4-25 ??g/mL against Gram-negative bacteria, and activity against pathogenic fungi. It acts through a membrane-lytic mechanism, possesses a unique “sandwich” conformation, has low hemolytic activity, and rapidly kills bacteria and eradicates bacterial and fungal biofilms. Antimicrobialpeptide 6b can be used in research on drug-resistant bacterial infections and fungal infections.
