A3-APO
Description
A3-APO is an antimicrobial peptide. A3-APO exerts significant antibacterial activity through a dual mode of action (membrane lysis and inhibition of intracellular targets). A3-APO can inactivate bacterial toxins and increase the expression of anti-inflammatory cytokines (such as IL-4 and IL-10) without inducing resistance. A3-APO accelerates burn wound healing in mouse models infected with Acinetobacter baumannii and Staphylococcus aureus.
