Temporin A
Description
Temporin A is a short ??-helical antimicrobial peptide isolated from the skin of Rana temporaria. Temporin A is effective against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive bacteria. Temporin A directly interacts with microbial cell membranes and is non-toxic to erythrocytes at antimicrobial concentrations. Temporin A also has antifungal activity against yeast-like Candida albicans.
