KT2
Description
KT2 is a cationic amphipathic antimicrobial peptide. KT2 can completely kill E. coli O157:H7 cells. KT2 has potent anti-biofilm activity and prevents E. coli O157:H7 biofilm formation. KT2 can effectively bind LPS on the bacterial surface and interact with lipid in liposomes, and with its strong permeability, it can penetrate deep into bacterial cells, thereby binding to DNA and other cytoplasmic membrane components.
