Globomycin
Description
Globomycin is a lipopeptide antibiotic and an inhibitor of signal peptidase II (LspA). Globomycin inhibits prolipoprotein processing by irreversibly binding to the peptidase. Globomycin is toxic to Spiroplasma melliferum, with MIC values in the range of 6.25-12.5 ??M.
