Urocortin Peptide
Urocortin is a peptide with 40 amino acids, it has a single alpha helix structure. Urcortin is involved in the mammalian stress response, and regulates the response of appetite and stress. It is a member of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) family of peptides. Urocortin is critical for basic survival as a neuromodulator.
Urocortin is a neuromodulator, it can interact with leptin, neuropeptide Y, orexin, and corticotropin in the brain. In addition, it also can affect the blood-brain barrier.
