Angiotensin peptide is a hormone peptide, it is also an oligopeptide. Angiotensin gives rise to vasoconstriction and the increase in blood pressure. It is part of the renin-angiotensin system to regulates blood pressure. In addition, it also stimulates the aldosterone release from the adrenal cortex, and promotes the sodium retention by the kidneys.
