Maximin 45 is an antimicrobial peptide. Maximin 45 has antibacterial activity against S. aureus, E. coli, and B. subtilis (MIC: 4.7, 9.4, and 75 ??g/mL, respectively). Maximin 45 has hemolytic activity against human and rabbit erythrocytes.
