PACAP (1-38), a novel neuropeptide isolated from the bovine hypothalamus is more active than vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) in stimulating adenylate cyclase (EC50=7 nM). PACAP 1-38 (10-9 M) increased substance P (SP), gastrin releasing peptide (GRP), and VIP release. PACAP 1-38 (10-8 M) inhibited gastrin secretion and stimulated somatostatin secretion and motility dose-dependently.

GenScript’s high-quality PACAP-related peptide (PRP), a 29 amino-acid region of the PACAP precursor protein, is synthesized in quantities sufficient for biological and structural studies. PRP has a distinct biological activity on the gallbladder that is similar to PACAP but opposite to that of VIP and its related peptide, PHM.

PAR-4 agonist peptide stimulates thromboxane production by human platelets with the maximal response to this agonist being approximately half of that observed after maximal thrombin stimulation.

Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) (1-34) (Human) is a highly purified peptide chemically synthesized by GenScript. Parathyroid hormone is the most important endocrine regulator of calcium and phosphorus concentration in extracellular fluid. This hormone is secreted from cells of the parathyroid glands and finds its major target cells in bone and kidney. Parathyroid hormone accomplishes its job by stimulating at least three processes: mobilization of calcium from bone, enhancing absorption of calcium from the small intestine, suppression of calcium loss in urine. PTH (1-34) is a peptide fragment (34 amino acids) of the naturally occurring human parathyroid hormone that is an important regulator of calcium and phosphorus metabolism.

This is a synthetic peptide based on the sequence corresponding to residues 359 to 374 of α1-antitrypsin. C105Y can penetrate cell membrane rapidly, enter the cytoplasm, and localize to the nucleus and nucleolus of live culture cells. C105Y peptide is routed to the nucleolus very rapidly in an energy-dependent fashion; whereas membrane translocation and nuclear localization are energy-independent. It enhances gene expression from DNA nanoparticles.
